HELEN - MY DEAREST STUDENT. At the age of five, I contracted  trachoma , an eye disease, which left me blind and without reading or writing skills.  I received my education as a student of the  Perkins School for the Blind , where upon graduation I became a teacher to Keller when I was 20. At the start when I met Helen and her family, I thought that it'll be easy to teach Helen, but I was wrong, she was very Naughty and didn't listen to anyone and was very aggressive and hit everyone in her family. " The processes of teaching the child that everything cannot be as he wills it are apt to be painful both to him and to his teacher." The first 2 words I taught Helen were 'doll' and 'cake' by finger movements and also lipreading. I taught her Face expressions by keeping her hand on my face and showing some types of expressions.
